DCCC – NEW: Mazi Pilip Spends Day In DC Ducking Questions on Abortion
Mazi Pilip isn’t just spending today in DC cozying up to her extreme Republican Party bosses – she’s also continuing to duck questions on abortion.
Asked if she would support voting to codify Roe v. Wade nationwide, Pilip’s staffer interjected and said, “No, sorry”:

This isn’t the first time Pilip – who identifies as “pro-life” – has been saved by a staffer and deflected answering when it comes to questions on abortion.
In her first interview as the Republican nominee, Pilip refused to answer any questions regarding her policy platform. When pressed to answer where she stands on key issues, including reproductive freedom, a GOP staffer shut down the conversation altogether.
As a candidate for the Nassau County Legislature, Pilip dodged questions about her views on abortion rights after she stated in the interview that the Nassau Conservative Party endorsed her “because [of] what I stand for.”
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Mazi Pilip has been in DC less than 24 hours and is already offering us a preview of how she’d represent New York’s Third Congressional District in Congress: by having staffers deflect on her behalf while her extreme Republican Party bosses push to ban abortion even in cases of rape and incest.”
