Pilip Has Taken Zero Questions from Voters
Suozzi is participating in more than 10 debates or candidate forums while Pilip is hiding and not being transparent with voters
Glen Cove, NY – Conservative and Republican candidate in the special election for NY03, Mazi Pilip hasn’t held a press conference, hasn’t shown up at a debate or candidate forum, and has been a no show at any event where voters could ask her questions on where she stands on key issues.
Unbelievably, earlier this week, she even skipped a candidate forum in Queens, even though she was at a GOP rally that was only .2 miles away!
In addition to dodging any event where voters have an opportunity to ask her questions, Pilip has only participated in a handful (less than 10) of highly orchestrated, heavily micromanaged GOP party rallies where she speaks for five minutes in generalities and hyperbolic attacks on her opponent and where no questions, even from the GOP party faithful, are allowed.
By contrast, former Congressman Tom Suozzi, has attended well over 45 public events in every part of the Third Congressional District and has answered every single question that anyone, from voters to reporters, has asked of him.
“The people of Nassau and Queens are facing challenging issues that impact their lives every day. My opponent isn’t giving them the decency they deserve by being transparent and forthright,” said Suozzi. “Nobody knows who Mazi Pilip is or what she stands for, but instead of meeting with voters and taking their questions, she chooses to stay hidden.
“In Congress, I will work with both Republicans and Democrats to find common ground and start fixing things again!”
Suozzi has been “traversing” across Nassau and Queens and routinely meeting with voters. He’s also participating in more than 10 debates and candidate forums.
Suozzi has shown that rather than run from tough questions, he runs into them. In January alone, Suozzi has held press conferences on his bipartisan approach to fixing immigration, environment priorities, and common sense solutions to preventing crime and gun violence.
